Our client had built a working app to help families teach children how money works: earning, saving toward goals, giving, and spending responsibly. What they needed from us was a complete visual reinvention: a modern, premium experience worthy of a financial product parents would trust. The catch: they had already committed a launch date to their client, on a schedule with almost no room to breathe.
Redesign an entire multi-role application from the ground up while preserving every existing function and flow.
A fixed deadline punishes guesswork. So before touching a screen, we proposed a deliberate sequence: understand the whole product, build one reusable design system, rebuild responsively against it, and protect the existing logic the entire way. These were the strategic calls that made an "impossible" timeline achievable.
Map the whole app before designing. Inventory every role, flow, and edge case first, so the redesign could move at speed without missing or breaking a single function.

A kids' banking app sits in a delicate spot. It has to feel playful enough for a child to want to use, yet credible enough for a parent to hand over real money inside it. Doing that at speed, without breaking a single existing flow, was the actual challenge.

Families bank from phones. Every screen including dashboards, goal trackers, task reviews, all needing to adapt cleanly across devices, not just look good in a mockup.
Trust in the Details
Money movement, approvals, and a child's progress all had to read as clear and reliable. Polish here wasn't cosmetic; it was the product's credibility.

Earn, Save, Give, Spend: the four pillars children learn from, supported by the tools parents need to guide, approve, and reward. Every screen was redesigned to work as a system, not a stack of pages.
Children pick up parent-created tasks: chores, good deeds, donations, and complete them for rewards. Built-in tasks and report-card bonuses let parents reward effort and grades automatically.
Kids create their own savings goals and watch progress grow as they set money aside. Achievements, trophies, and a budgeting basics flow turn saving into something they want to do.
A dedicated giving flow introduces children to donation and generosity early, framed in a way that's simple to understand and act on.
A clear daily spending view with parent-set limits and account summaries, redesigned so children can read their balances and parents stay in control.

On the .NET Core MVC front-end, we implemented dynamic, responsive UI for every screen, introducing UX improvements along the way and keeping all existing behavior intact.

By deciding what not to redo. We mapped the whole application up front, built a single reusable design system, and rebuilt the front-end against it, so most screens assembled from shared components rather than being designed one at a time.
